When businesses can use virtual environments to innovate, creating prototypes and new designs for expensive automobiles is considerably easier (and more economical). When delving into the realm of VR, it becomes crucial to emphasize the significance of Twin Reality’s Virtual Reality Industrial Training. This cutting-edge solution empowers businesses and organizations to provide their staff with highly realistic and immersive training experiences.
Kia strives to lead the automobile industry in innovation and is dedicated to providing ever-impressible solutions for safety and efficiency behind the wheel. Kia has recently created an immersive photorealistic environment for product iteration thanks to its partnership with Varjo and Autodesk VRED technology.
On October 4-5, 2023, Kia created a splash by unveiling the Kia EV9 to the Finnish press, stakeholders, and dealer network during an event that featured a cutting-edge mixed-reality presentation.
The EV9 launch event in Vantaa, Finland, featured a Varjo XR-3 headset and a vehicle seat strategically placed in the centre of the arena. Visitors can don the headset, get behind the wheel, and experience a mixed reality simulation of the virtual EV9 in full scale in the middle of the actual physical environment.
This launch marked the first instance where mixed reality technology was used to introduce a car model not yet physically available.
The mixed reality experience provided by Varjo XR-3 stands out for its realistic output and high-resolution details. Thus, allowing customers to tour a vehicle’s interior and examine all the fine details in human-eye resolution in addition to getting a sense of the size of the vehicle.
